Monster Jam

Tonight, we traveled to Jacksonville, Fl to go to the Monster Jam. We knew he would love it.

But...NOPE. Wrong!

He said:

"I don't like it."

"Too bunch people."

"Too loud."

"I hate people."

First, where did my 2 year old learn hate?? Second, why am I shocked? Phillip and I both hate crowds and I hate loud stuff! Haha. He was asleep within 15 minutes.

He was happy to get in the truck and turn on a "mobie."

We had fun, though. It was nice to get a way even for a few hours!

Back to work tomorrow!! 6 more days until me and Brodie are at Aunt Mamma's! We can't wait!

Goodnight, world.

Hey baby #2!

We are having a baby!!!

Details:

We found out 03/09/14.

I was about to begin a new diet and I was a few days late! Phillip and I have not been on any form of birth control since Brodie was born so I didn't think I was pregnant. Honestly, I'd almost given up hope and thought I was meant to have one. But, I wanted peace of mind so I bought a test Monday morning before I went to the Keller Williams office in Pooler. I had my diet pills ready to go as soon as the test said negative. To my suprise, 2 bright lines showed up quicker than I could process. I was shocked. Excited, yes. BUT More shocked. I came out of the bathroom pale and unable to think. The office manager, Lori asked me if I was okay. I walked to my car and double checked the box. Yep. 2 lines=pregnant. So, I stood there and stared into nothing for what seemed like an hour and then began to cry and thank God. His timing is perfect. I thought about all these cute, creative ideas to tell Phillip but I couldn't wait. Instead I called him and asked him if he was sitting down. He said no. So, I told him anyways. He said "are you kidding?" He was in shock too. We hung up and he called me a few minutes later to share his excitement. I left my office and headed to my moms. Luckily, she was in spring break. I called Amanda. She sat straight up in bed as soon as I told her. Shocked too. My mom jumped, screamed, laughed, cried, chanted a hallelujah song, and danced around her yard. It was the perfect reaction. We spent the rest of the day sharing with our family and close friends. It was a good day.

March 27th: (3 years to the exact of my 1st baby appt with Brodie)
Brodie, Phillip, and I went to the doctor. Brodie was able to see the baby...after he asked the tech if he could watch Batman.  The heartbeat was 153 bmp (Brodie's was 152) and everything looked great. I was 6 weeks/6 days! & suprise, suprise due on 11/12/14 (Brodie's original due date.)

Telling Brodie: When we finally got by ourselves with our main man, Phillip asked Brodie "Guess whats in mamas stomach?" Brodie replied "Mcdonalds?" We laughed so hard and then explained to him about the baby. He said "it's a boy baby."

This pregnancy is similar to Brodie's so far. I'm sleepy all the time and nauseated all the time. This time, I'm not as sick though. I can actually refrain from throwing up all the time. Could a girl be in the cards for us!?

My talented sister took our announcement photo. It was absolutely perfect and it was so fun sharing with the world.

Thank you Father for your blessings. I am so grateful.

Christmas 2013

Christmas was magical this year. We made so many good memories as a family that ill forever cherish. Charles, the elf became part of our Christmas traditions(thanks to Gamma) & Brodie fell in love with Christmas everything. He can now sing all the main Christmas songs and tell you all about the main characters. As much as he loves Santa, he would not sit in his lap so we didn't force a picture. From riding around to looking at lights to visiting Gamma's decked out house we made Christmas special this year. My favorite memory is asking Brodie "What does Santa say?" He would reply. "Ho, Ho, Ho Mewwy Tismas!"

Brodie was sick on Christmas, but he still managed to keep good spirits

Christmas Eve: we spent it with Phillips side of the family. Everyone came over to Granny & Pa's to eat and exchange presents. Brodie got a scooter from Granny & Grandpa, a jeep with from Heather & Aunt Patricia, an electronic dinosaur, planes soap containers that float in the bathtub, & pjs from Aunt Karen. He had a blast with his cousins.

Christmas morning, we woke up at about 9:30 am. Brodie ran into the living room and he picked up the batman toy! Santa brought him:
-John Deere tractor
-Georgia boots
-Chuggington Wooden train set with several magnet trains.
-Batman house
-Spiderman mask
-Playdough Trash truck
-tons of trucks, got wheels
-Monkey bookbag for school
-swing set (granny & pa)

After opening presents we went to Gamma's house. She cooked wings, French fries and dessert. We opened presents and Brodie got:
-Swing Set
-Monster Truck power wheels (pAinted by Gamma)
-John Deere tractor toy.

More than anything, I felt extremely blessed this year. Brodie was blessed and that's all that mattters.

Busy.

Busy. I look back on my old blog posts and read about my own, personal "busy" life. I think "busy" is how most people would describe their life. I've come to realize over the past few months that busy means something completely different to each person. I hear some people who say they are busy and I automatically disagree with their "busy." Does this make sense??

My busy has become this: 2 full time jobs, full time online degree, studying for a licensing exam, being wife, being mom, & being godmom. Whoa. That is my life. I love my little blog, but my busy life has yet again caused me to forget it...or should I say put it on the back burner of my huge to do list that never shortens but only continues to grow.

In my new "busy" I've learned to appreciate every moment with my little boy. For 2 years I stayed at home with him and now I work 7 days a week. It. has. been. rough.  <~mostly for me.  He has adjusted so well-I'm so proud of my big boy.  I still can't believe he is two years old.

Church<~this use to be something that kept me busy that no longer does. I feel a void on Sundays that I need to fill. Instead of work, I want/need to be at church.  This is my goal...to eliminate working on Sundays to get my family back in church. Although, I'm not in a church, I have a deeper relationship with God than I ever have. I hear him so clearly these days. It's an amazing feeling. I'm ready to find a "home" to share my gifts.

Life is good. I can't or will not complain. I'm so thankful for a God that has been by my side every step of the way. If you ever need an encouragement on faith, this girl is who you need to call. ;)

Christmas movies

Another one or Brodie's favorite Christmas movies.

Mickeys Christmas.

Today, I skipped work and stayed home and cuddled with my sick boy all day. Sick days are no fun but I enjoy being there for him. The dr. said it was just a cold virus but we will be going back if there's no changes tomorrow.

Love my little toot toot so much!! Praying he is better for Santa!

12/10/13

Goodnight from me and my toot toot! One more day of work and we get to have our days together.
