Miss Paisley

Dear Paisley,

As I type this you are laying on my chest, curled up under my arm, & running a fever. Your pink toes are tucked behind my legs and every so often I feel them move. Your tongue is out as always and you are pretending to suck on your bottle. You smell like lavender and you are making it hard to stay awake. I've been completely slack on my blog when it comes to you. I've posted nothing but your birth story. I'm sorry, sweet girl. But as I'm sitting here, I felt the urge to write to you to tell you just how much I love you. I don't think there are the right words to express my heart so I pray I show you in my actions.  When you walk up to me and put your hands side by side to your chest, I always pick you up. I hold you until you're ready to get down. I'm never letting go first. I put you in your bed at night but if you wake up and put your hands out, I grab you up and tuck you in next to me. When you cry, I hold you. I never let you cry. I pray for you 3 or 4 times a day. I thought my life was complete until I had you. You've brought so much joy to my life. Watching you grow has been rewarding and joyful. Watching everyone who comes in contact with you smile is just as joyful. You are the most independent 11 month old I've even seen. You've been walking for 1.5 months, you say many new favorite is Dora. You have the sweetest birth mark on your left hand below your pointer. I kiss it daily. You love doing whatever Brodie is doing. You are his sidekick. He loves you so much. The first time I ever left you, Brodie cried harder than I did. Brodie loves to wake you up in the morning by saying "Good Morning, Pays! I missed you while you were asleep!" It melts my heart. You love your kitty, Lucy. You love all animals. You are fearless and I have to watch your every move. I don't know anyone as stubborn besides your daddy. I guess you get that awesome trait from him. You are extremely bossy. I'll admit you get that from me. You like to tell daddy's coon dogs to hush and you love to yell at Brodie. You have many friends and you love them all. As I'm planning your first birthday, I can't believe how fast your little life has gone by. I want to remember every little detail that completes who you are right  now. Like how you push out your lips when you're working or how you throw out your right leg when you get excited. Love you, Peppa pig. You are my sunshine.
